Still manageable with a lot more meat, our 1.25 lb. lobsters are great if you're excited to eat something sweet, succulent and special.

*Due to the nature of the shipping process, our lobsters are not priced to the pound, but as close as possible to the weight listed, depending on availability. 1.25 lb. graded lobsters can range in size from 1.16 to 1.44 lbs.

Keeping It Fresh

Product Arrives Live

Cook as soon as possible. Live lobsters can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours as long as the lobster is alive.

Cooked lobster meat can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. For best results, wrap the lobster meat tightly in plastic wrap, then place in an airtight container or freezer bag, and remove as much air as possible before refrigerating or freezing.

Preparation

Live lobsters are best consumed as soon as possible. You can boil, steam, bake and grill your lobster. The meat is fresh, sweet and delicious no matter how you cook it.

How to Cook a Live Lobster

Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a rolling boil.
Place the live lobster headfirst into the pot and cover.
Return the water to a boil, then reduce to a steady simmer.
Cook for 8–10 minutes for the first pound, plus 2–3 minutes for each additional pound.
Lobster is done when the shell is bright red and the meat is firm and white.
Serve immediately with melted butter and fresh lemon.
