Where Our Lobsters Come From

Lobsters are sourced from the cold waters of New England and Atlantic Canada, depending on season and weather conditions.

Our facilities include three tidal pounds — one in Machiasport and two in Steuben, Maine — with a total holding capacity of over 225,000 pounds.

How Our Lobster Gets to You

Lobsters Online is headquartered on Cape Cod, MA with additional facilities in Machiasport and Steuben, ME. We are a proud member of the Maine Lobster Institute, National Fisheries Institute and a supporter of the U.S. Coast Guard Fisheries Training Center.

We began as a retail fish shanty selling sea scallops, swordfish, and lobsters. Our facilities include 3 tidal pounds, one in Machiasport, and two in Steuben for a total of 225,000 pounds. Our high-volume operation has allowed us to achieve an international reach.

The Lobster Trap is a HACCP-approved and federally inspected. With this certification, we're able to ship products across the globe safely and in a timely manner.
