All Lobster-Online.com seafood is fresh and must be shipped overnight to your home or place of business. Orders must be placed by 2:00 p.m. EST for next day delivery. Lobsters-Online.com has a special contract with Federal Express which allows us to ship these big insulated cartons at a reasonable rate. Federal Express will deliver your lobsters to your door between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Lobsters-Online.com recommends someone be home to receive the package. We have waived the signature required on all orders and will not be held responsible if no one is home and the package is left unattended. If upon inspection one of the lobsters seems listless or lethargic, in general the lobster is still healthy and it is all right to prepare. When a healthy lobster is cooked, the tail will curl under the body. If the tail curls on the motionless lobster, the lobster is safe to eat. All damage claims must be made on day of delivery by calling 888-353-9898. No claims will be honored if not made on day of delivery.

Shipping Costs
You may price out your shipping costs by using our online quote/order system viewable in the shopping cart. After you make your seafood selection from our catalog, you will be asked to provide ship-to information. Federal Express charges an additional $22 for a Saturday delivery. Delivery may not be available in all areas. Lobsters-Online.com will call you if there is a problem with Saturday delivery in your area or if your package requires additional shipping costs due to the location. For deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii, please call the service desk at 888.353.9898 so that we may calculate your shipping charges and place your order. Federal Express charges additional fees for delivery to Alaska and Hawaii. Please note that all orders that are placed with an incorrect shipping address that we need to correct will be subject to an additional $10 charge.

Holiday Shipments
Federal Express deliveries are ordinarily made between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:30 p.m., for major holidays later delivery times should be expected.

Advanced Ordering
Large numbers of two (2) pound or larger lobsters should be reserved a few days in advance of your desired delivery date. The large, select grade sell fast and Lobsters-Online.com can not always guarantee we will have a large quantity for you. If you have any questions, or feel you have special needs, please call us at 888-353-9898. Lobsters-Online.com would be happy to work with you. Your business is important to us.

Cancellation Policy
No refunds or credits will be issued for special orders or large orders of 10 or more lobsters unless the cancellation is requested at least 48 hours prior to the date the special order is to be shipped. A 10 percent cancellation fee applies to all special orders or orders of 10 or more lobsters canceled 48 hours or more prior to the ship date. We do this because special requests and large orders are selected and prepared in advance and often carefully stored in our special refrigerated facilities prior to being picked up by FedEx. All other orders must be canceled before noon on the day the seafood is to be shipped.

All Lobsters-Online.com lobsters are shipped live to your home or office. Experience has taught us that the lobsters travel best with gel ice packs. Therefore, Lobsters-Online.com does not offer pots, or pans or other items that can affect the quality of the seafood. Instead, the lobsters are placed in a special insulated carton, packed with ice packs and sent off to you. Larger quantities of lobster may be placed in a specially prepared carton with Styrofoam compartments. This protects the lobsters from damaging one another during travel.

Lobsters-Online.com guarantees that the lobsters are alive when they are delivered to your door, unless arrangements have been made to pick the lobsters up at a delivery depot. If you are picking up the order at a depot, Lobsters-Online.com guarantees that they will be alive when picked up, providing the pickup was made prior to 5:30 p.m. on the scheduled date of delivery. Lobsters-Online.com assumes no responsibility for orders picked up by customers after 5:30 p.m. (See the Customer Service Policy below.) Lobsters-Online.com recommends the lobster be prepared the same day. If you must keep them an additional day, you do so at your own risk. But there are some steps to take that can help ensure they keep the extra day or two.

Handling Live LobsterHandling Live Lobsters
First, do not take the lobsters out of the carton to play with them. You may open the carton to inspect them, but Lobsters-Online.com recommends you do not remove them from the carton. Second, add some wet newspaper and additional frozen gel packs to the carton. This will help to keep the lobsters moist. But do not immerse them in fresh water. The lobsters can not live in fresh water. And third, refrigerate the entire carton right away. The lobsters must be kept cool. If their body temperature rises significantly, the lobsters will perish. If upon inspection one of the lobsters seems listless or lethargic, in general the lobster is still healthy and it is all right to prepare. When a healthy lobster is cooked the tail will curl under the body. If the tail curls on the cooked lobster, the lobster is safe to eat. If for some reason you find that you can not prepare the lobsters for several days, you may partially cook them and then keep them in the refrigerator. Simply place the lobsters in boiling water for six minutes, and then remove them. Refrigerate the lobsters right away. Finish cooking at a later date. Handling Free Range Beef
The beef cuts prepared for Lobsters-Online by La Cense Beef of Montana are far from average. Like all grass-fed meat, La Cense Beef cooks differently from the grain-fed beef found in supermarkets or butcher shops. Here are some handling instructions:

Keep your La Cense Beef frozen until you're ready to use it. Then thaw it completely before cooking. To defrost, we recommend placing each individual vacuum-packed cut in the refrigerator overnight. If you're in a rush, you can also defrost in a bowl of cool water. Never use warm water.

Steaks should be at room temperature before you start cooking. That way they spend less time in the pan getting to temperature. It's a gentler method of cooking and will deliver juicier meat to your plate.

Because La Cense Beef is lean, lightly marbled and lower in fat than conventional grain-fed beef, its flavor is accentuated by cooking at a slightly lower temperature and for slightly less time. So, unless a recipe specifies grass-fed beef, reduce the temperature in the recipe by 50� when cooking with La Cense Beef. Even at the lower temperature, cooking time for grass-fed beef will be about 30% to 50% less than for conventional beef. Please see the recipes page for more grilling tips.

Customer Returns
Lobsters-Online.com guarantees the quality of its lobsters on the scheduled day of delivery. Please examine the carton when it arrives. If the carton appears to have been damaged, it may have caused injury to the lobsters or let warm air enter the carton. If any of the lobsters have perished, do not discard them. Please call or email Lobsters-Online and we will arrange any claims or package returns necessary or advise on seafood conditions. Refunds will not be issued without consultation prior to discarding any items. All claims must be made on day of delivery by calling 888-353-9898.
